From a young age, Kwun Yu Fung (Jordan) received education in both Eastern and Western cultures, giving him unique insights and experiences in the differences in musical arts and cross-cultural communication. Music brough him great memories, creativity, and social skills, along with a pair of dexterous hands and absolute pitch.

 

Kwun Yu Fung (Jordan) is the student of Professor Yuri Didenko of the Tchaikovsky Music Conservatory in Russia, chairman of the Rachmaninoff International Piano Committee, and renowned pianist, and pianist Dr. Ivan Mishunin, who praised kwun Yu as a “talented person with great passion and love”. Through years of heartfelt dedication and hard work in charitable activities, Jordan earned the honorary title of United Nations “Music for Peace" Ambassador, his achievements were highly recognized and supported by both domestic and international media. 

 

In 2017, at the age of only 10, he performed at Carnegie Hall in the U.S.. In 2018, he participated in the China-Italy Friendship Spring Festival Gala (at Piazza di Roma, Italy), where he received a thank-you letter signed by Ambassador Li Ruiyu of the Chinese Embassy in Italy for his charity performance. In 2019, he won first place in the Hong Kong International Music and Art Competition, and in 2020, he took third place in the second International Rachmaninoff Young Pianists Competition, hosted by the Gnessin Russian Academy of Music, the Russian Ministry of Culture, and the Moscow government. In 2021, as an ES Primary School music assistant and a charity piano performer, he garnered significant media attention through interviews and live broadcasts, while also receiving unanimous recognition from elder pianists and composers such as Li Qiming and Li Mingqiang. 

 

Whether it was his collaboration with Xue Tingzhe on CCTV-15 Music Channel in 2022, his first-place honor in the 2023 Shanghai Magnolia International Piano Competition, or his 2024 performance alongside Lang Lang in Shanghai's "Lang Xing Huan Yue," as well as his charity concert with pianist Niu Niu, Jordan spent a full decade (from ages 7 to 17) devoted to music. his journey from in Seoul, South Korea, where he participated in the UN's 70th-anniversary celebration at the Lotte Group headquarters (invited by former UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and his wife). He continued to perform in countless charity events across Europe (Rome, Milan, Venice in Italy; London in the UK; Gare de Lyon in Paris, France) and America (Port Authority Bus Terminal in New York, UN Headquarters in New York, Hunter College in New York, Washington, and New Jersey). He has persevered with a commitment to charity and philanthropy, and this dedication stems from the belief that, as Kong Xiang Dong said, "careful nurturing, teaching skills, and a lifelong appreciation for one's mentor" are the keys to success.
